They are going to look just like this, only with a real lynx claw instead of a tooth, and cat hair in the bottle. The lynx claw will look similar to the one featured in this piece. All of this strung on a leather cord, with brown wooden focal bead.

I would like to take the time now to introduce you to my partner in this venture, and fur donor Merlin:

Merlin was a rescue kitty, some years back. His previous owner was going to euthanize him unless someone took him. Merlin also sheds like crazy, so I decided to put his hair to good use, spread the word. Portion of proceeds from the sales of these pendants will go to a feline no-kill shelter in the area where I live (there are a great many, due to the close proximity of the city from where I live, and the sheer number of strays).

I'm asking $10 each, price includes shipping. I'll take 4 slots.

Slots:
1.
2.
3.
4.

This post is public so feel free to spread the word.

Note that there is also still room for more Corvid Wallhangings, if people are still interested and would like to sign up.

*g* Thanks, and I most certainly will. Dumb as a doornail, but real sweet, and quite a stunning fellow.

Hee. I just recently came upon a source for little bottles like that, but full of wolf fur, humanely collected every spring when they shed their winter coats. We visit a place called the Wolf Park (http://www.wolfpark.org/index.html ), and they sell them as souvenirs for $1 a bottle, with the money going to help support the wolves.

*g* I have a few of these bottles myself. Visited Wolf Park in '07 for their 2-day Wolf Intensive Behavior seminar. Excellent place--really enjoyed getting up close and in person with the wolves there.

Hah, great minds think alike. We ended up adopting one of the wolves -- Wotan, since my husband is Asatru -- and we're hoping to adopt a second (Apollo!) later this autumn.

Haha! Perfect. Wotan was such an awesome fellow. He ended up stomping on my foot in the main enclosure. I even got a photo of it I made into an icon, but I have to renew my subscription for it to come back, I think. Oof. Anyway, I'll have to dig up some photos of when I was there *g*
