Carrion crow (corvus corax) foot, capped with a bronze cap. I added the bail and jump ring myself. I'm going to do something with this...I can't decide if it would look good on a cord or on a chain. Either, possibly. I am going to offer this for sale, as soon as I add some other stuff to it. If anyone would like to claim it, or have suggestions for further work (Cord? Chain? Beads? Bone? Tooth? Magatama?), PM me or leave a comment. I may ask $10 as a base price for the foot itself, I'm still working it out. I'm trying to be interactive with my artwork here, hehe.

I do have other feet...I'd have to see how many. I only have one matched pair of feet though, a pair of huge feet (this crow must've been on steroids...or it's a pair of raven feet as I'm suspecting--they were originally sold to me years back as "crow" though) that are going to go to [livejournal.com profile] orthaevelve.

I'm thinking I rather enjoy working with bird-bits.

I've spent so much time pimping my own artwork, I figured I'd take the time to pimp someone else for a change. [livejournal.com profile] mech_angel does some supremely awesome art, which you can find here, but she also does commissions. Recently she completed a small commission for me, of myself and my Patron, which you can find under the cut below.

My default icon was also taken from an earlier piece done by her.

She has some amazing stuff, and really doesn't charge enough for her kickass art. Do feel free to go over and commission her, or buy some of her prints. Her stuff is well worth it.

Old and weathered raccoon skull found out in nature, missing some teeth. Added hemp cord dangles with bone beads, shells and wood--something I took to symbolize its scavenging nature. Also included a hemp cord "headband" with a dark green glass magatama, a sort of representation of it being a spirit of nature. And, of course, a deerskin leather loop for hanging.

I haven't added him to my Etsy page yet, and I'm a bit too tired to right now. But if anyone happens to be interested in him, feel free to drop a comment. I think I might ask $14.00 for him including shipping, but I can probably haggle.

Totally...beat. But having trouble settling down to bed. Guhhhhh.

Made with a real grey wolf claw and foot bones. Claw is wire-wrapped and strung on a leather cord, with wooden bead spacers. For sale on my Etsy shop here. On reserve. But I may make more like this in the future, or even work on commission. Poke me privately for details if interested.

Glass bottle with cork, stuffed with raw shed coyote fur from the Indiana Coyote Rescue Center. Wire-wrapped and strung on a brown leather cord with wooden spacer bead and real coyote tooth.

I have one available on my Etsy shop here for immediate purchase. But I can make seven more of these, as I have seven more coyote teeth left in my horde. I'm asking $9.00 altogether, price includes shipping (PayPal, money order).

As always, portion of proceeds from the sale of these will go to the coyotes at the rescue center who donated their fur.

(My notes also in post on progress of order..."COMPLETED" meaning the pendant is complete, "SHIPPED" meaning...well you get the idea by now.)

Thanks a lot! This post is public, so reposting is most appreciated.

Now...going to faceplant myself into bed. I've had my art therapy for tonight to help get over the stressful day, and I'll answer to any orders (if any) tomorrow.

I think my next little fundraiser might be a combination honorary working for my Patron as well as raising money for ImmigrationEquality. How fitting too, to give to an organization who fights to open the way for so many people? Including my fiancee and I.

I'm thinking...I have a number of old real Egyptian faience beads. I have dog teeth. I have a wolf claw. I already made something incorporating faience beads and dog teeth here, which hasn't sold yet (then again, I haven't put it up on my store site, either).

I think I like this idea, but I'd be interested in hearing what others think of this, too.

Pardon the shitty iPhone pics. I really need to get my camera software worked out.

Materials: Small glass bottle, stuffed with real raw coyote fur and a coyote knuckle bone, corked with a real coyote claw attached on a black hemp cord.

The coyote fur is real, raw shed fur from living coyotes at the Indiana Coyote Rescue Center. If you uncork the bottle and take a sniff, you'll smell real, live coyote. The fur has been stored in a freezer beforehand to kill off germs.

I can make four more of these in this same style (but I have a decent amount of fur and other materials). I'm asking $5.50 for each, price includes shipping within the U.S., and proceeds from sale will go to the rescue center. I can do PayPal or money order.

EDIT 4/24, 10:30AM: A strike indicates and order filled, and is mostly for my records.

Slots:
1. [livejournal.com profile] corvithrope - Paid
2. [livejournal.com profile] anamatics - Paid
3. [livejournal.com profile] consumeraddict - Money order - Paid

5. [livejournal.com profile] adventure_grrrl - Money order

This post is public, so any help with advertising or passing around would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

EDIT: Slots are full! I can make up to three more little bottles, but I am out of claws! If you wouldn't mind a substitute for a claw (another bone, tooth, etc.), leave a comment! I can take three more.

Version 2 Slot List:
1. [livejournal.com profile] nezuchan - Paid
2. [livejournal.com profile] technocowboy - Paid
3. [livejournal.com profile] innowen - Paid

I also have available a larger coyote totem bottle with attached tooth, and filled to the brim with fur and two foot bones.

I also have five slots for bigger bottles.

Notes
The dog tooth beads came in bulk from China--probably leftover from the food industry. I compose my stuff from a collection of trade beads, antiquities and other curiosities. My sources are all people and places which are reliable and knowledgeable, and when appropriate, provenance will be given.

I am an animist, and I incorporate my practices and belief in my work, being attracted to the natural and the antique. Some of the items I've made things with are very old, and have been around for a long time.

Funds from purchases will go towards paying off bills and debt, so I can move in with my fiancee in Germany. Unfortunately, the U.S. does not at this time recognize our relationship, leaving me to go into exile in order for us to be together. We'll need all the help we can get in making this possible.
Proceeds from the sale of all animal products will go to nonprofits dedicated to animal rescue, or wildlife conservation.

There will be more stuff from my collection needing homes, I just have to sort through things. Dog tooth pendants will be $10. Prices include shipping. I can take PayPal. Just ask. Also, feel free to spread around to anyone else interested.

First: 5 coyote-tooth pendants are available for anyone who makes a donation to help the people of rural Alaska. These people really need our help, as well as the people working towards bringing this injustice to light.

Coyote-tooth slots
Tooth #1: [livejournal.com profile] fleetfoot77
Tooth #2: [livejournal.com profile] graymary
Tooth #3: [livejournal.com profile] quorpencetta
Tooth #4:
Tooth #5:

Second: I'm also offering dog-tooth pendants for $10 including shipping. I have five available so far (but I can make more). Proceeds will go towards The Montana English Shepherd rescue effort. [livejournal.com profile] christinemis keeps detailed info on it in her own personal journal. The rest will go towards my travel fund for Germany visitations and such. Future proceeds for these will probably go to the ASPCA. Right now the NESR could use the support. I will not be donating to the Humane Society of the United States due to some good points that [livejournal.com profile] christinemis pointed out.

Drop me a line at cynanthropos(at)gmail(dot)com for any other details. Thanks.

First, read this post about the crisis situation in Alaska: Native Alaskans freezing and starving, yet no one seems to be listening.

I'm really short on money right now, the holiday season combined with the closings of several work centers put a lot of us out of work for the entire period. I have little I can spare right now, so here's my plan instead:

I have five remaining coyote-tooth pendants. They look similar to the dog-tooth pendants I've been making. Black hemp cord, coyote canine, and a small wooden bead pinching the coyote tooth in place. I will give one of these pendants to anyone who clicks the link above and donates $10 (or more, if you desire) via the PayPal link in the article. Just send me an email (cynanthropos@gmail.com) with some kind of donation proof, and an address you want the pendant sent to. Shipping's on me.

Thanks in advance.

Wolf and coyote tooth pendants )

So. I have a crapload of drilled coyote teeth, and two wolf (c. laniger, I believe) teeth, that I'm making into pendants. The quality of my laptop camera is shit, but I tried to make a comparison. The wolf tooth is the one with the red bead, the coyote with the brown. Beads are wood, the thong is cotton (or hemp in the same size/color will also be used).

My question is, would anyone be interested in these, should I decide to vend them at Thresholds? I am thinking, at least half the proceeds for the coyote teeth, and all the proceeds for the two wolf teeth will go to the Defenders of Wildlife to offset the Northern Rockies/ Yellowstone wolf lawsuit. I'm thinking around $10 - $15 for the coyote teeth, $20 for the wolf? Is this reasonable? I've honestly never really sold anything before, especially not anything I've made.

Any feedback, especially from people attending the event, would be appreciated.
